About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UX/UI designer to join our software team in designing and developing user-centered interfaces for defense systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX/UI design, with a focus on creating intuitive and effective interfaces for complex systems. Previous experience working with military personnel and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored design solutions, is appreciated.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop user-centered interfaces for defense systems, including command and control systems, tactical operations centers, and training simulators
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to inform design decisions and improve system usability
- Collaborate with military personnel, developers, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet the needs of end-users and align with military doctrine and procedures
- Develop and maintain design standards and guidelines for defense systems, ensuring consistency and usability across multiple platforms
- Create prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate design concepts and ideas to stakeholders
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and Axure
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git, SVN)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:
- Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or related field
- Experience in UX/UI design in the defense domain working with military personnel and stakeholders
- Knowledge of the main UX/UI military standards like MIL STD 1472, MIL STD 2525, NTDS and APP6
- Certification in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- Knowledge of human factors and ergonomics principles, as well as military standards and regulations
- Experience with usability testing and feedback analysis, including methods such as user interviews, surveys, and A/B testing
- Experience with front-end languages for full stack applications (such as Microsoft WPF, Java AWT, Java Swing or Java FX) or for web applications (such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular)
