We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and scale the Python services that power Shipwell's transportation management platform. This is a senior individual contributor role, fully remote from Brazil, working closely with a distributed engineering team.
- Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python
- Model and evolve data structures that support high volume logistics workflows
- Write automated tests and contribute to code quality standards across the codebase
- Review pull requests and mentor mid level engineers on backend best practices
- Collaborate with product, frontend and data teams to scope and deliver features
- Monitor, debug and optimize performance and reliability of production systems
- Participate in technical discussions and help shape backend architecture decisions
Requisitos
- Solid professional experience as a backend engineer working primarily with Python
- Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL, including query optimization
- Experience with cloud environments and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows
- Ability to work autonomously in a distributed, asynchronous team
- Professional English, written and spoken, for daily collaboration with a US based team
