We are an established ad tech company running a two-sided platform that connects advertisers and publishers. We are migrating a large legacy web application to a modern platform, and we need a QA Analyst who can make sure that everything that worked before still works after, including the complex business rules behind it.
About the role:
This is a manual testing role at first. You will not be writing test automation in the beginning. We want someone with strong testing technique who enjoys understanding how a system really works and finding the cases nobody thought of.
What you will do:
- Test web applications with complex business rules, such as balances, payments, approval flows, and role-based permissions for different user types
- Conduct parity testing between the legacy system and the new platform, comparing behavior side by side and reporting any differences
- Write test cases from specifications and user feedback, and run exploratory and regression testing
- Write clear bug reports with exact reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, and evidence such as screenshots, recordings, and network logs
- Validate fixes and new features in the staging environment before release
- Work closely with developers and product, asking questions early when a requirement is unclear
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in QA or software testing
- Strong manual testing technique, including equivalence partitioning, boundary values, state transitions, and negative testing
- Experience testing systems with complex business logic, ideally involving money flows, permissions, or multiple user roles
- Comfort using browser DevTools to inspect requests, responses, and console errors
- Experience testing APIs with Postman or a similar tool
- Experience with issue trackers such as Jira or GitHub Issues
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to explain a problem clearly and concisely
- English at B2 level or higher, both written and spoken. You will write bug reports and talk with the team in English every day
Nice to have
- SQL skills for read-only queries to validate data
- Experience in ad tech, marketplaces, or other two-sided platforms
- Experience testing a system migration or a legacy rewrite
- Experience testing transactional emails
- Interest in moving into test automation over time

- Monthly compensation: between USD 2,500 and 3,000 (according to experience)
